The First Trust S&P REIT Index Fund ETF (NYSE:FRI) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Monday, with over 319,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 61,000. Shares of FRI were up about 0.9% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Monday were Vereit (VER), trading up about 2% with over 6.9 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Global Net Lease (NYSE:GNL), up about 0.4% on volume of over 3.7 million shares. Cyrusone (CONE) is the component faring the best Monday, higher by about 4.3% on the day, while Clipper Realty (NYSE:CLPR) is lagging other components of the First Trust S&P REIT Index Fund ETF, trading lower by about 1.1%.
