The iShares Global Timber & Forestry ETF (NASDAQ:WOOD) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Friday, with over 76,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 28,000. Shares of WOOD were down about 1.6% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Friday were Weyerhaeuser (NYSE:WY), trading down about 2.1% with over 2.5 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Westrock (NYSE:WRK), down about 0.8% on volume of over 918,000 shares. Potlatchdeltic (NASDAQ:PCH) is lagging other components of the iShares Global Timber & Forestry ETF Friday, trading lower by about 2.6%.
