The iShares Global Energy ETF is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Monday, with over 1.6 million shares traded versus three month average volume of about 455,000. Shares of IXC were down about 0.5% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Monday were Petroleo Brasileiro, trading off about 0.1% with over 6.4 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Kinder Morgan, up about 0.1% on volume of over 4.6 million shares. Ultrapar Participacoes is the component faring the best Monday, up by about 2% on the day, while Halliburton is lagging other components of the iShares Global Energy ETF, trading lower by about 1.9%.
