The Vanguard Total World Stock ETF (NYSE:VT) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Wednesday, with over 2.8 million shares traded versus three month average volume of about 1.6 million. Shares of VT were down about 0.3% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Wednesday were Chesapeake Energy (NASDAQ:CHK), trading up about 3% with over 64.1 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ:AMD), up about 1% on volume of over 42.9 million shares. California Resources (NYSE:CRC) is the component faring the best Wednesday, up by about 18.2% on the day, while Gannett (NYSE:GCI) is lagging other components of the Vanguard Total World Stock ETF, trading lower by about 29.2%.
