In early trading on Thursday, shares of Quanta Services, topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 9.8%. Year to date, Quanta Services, registers a 55.1% gain.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is Hormel Foods, trading down 3.0%. Hormel Foods is lower by about 4.9% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Biogen, trading down 1.9%, and Baxter International, trading up 5.3% on the day.
