The First Trust Natural Gas ETF (NYSE:FCG) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Friday, with over 575,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 299,000. Shares of FCG were up about 2.5% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Friday were Occidental Petroleum (NYSE:OXY), trading up about 2.2% with over 1.6 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Devon Energy (NYSE:DVN), up about 4.3% on volume of over 1.4 million shares. Eog Resources (NYSE:EOG) is the component faring the best Friday, higher by about 4.6% on the day, while Cnx Resources (NYSE:CNX) is lagging other components of the First Trust Natural Gas ETF, trading lower by about 2.7%.
