In trading on Friday, oil & gas exploration & production shares were relative laggards, down on the day by about 6.6%. Helping drag down the group were shares of Battalion Oil, down about 13.2% and shares of Patterson-UTI Energy down about 11.3% on the day.
Also lagging the market Friday are oil & gas refining & marketing shares, down on the day by about 6.2% as a group, led down by PBF Energy, trading lower by about 14.2% and Par Pacific Holdings, trading lower by about 13.3%.
