As the saying goes, there are many possible reasons for an insider to sell a stock, but only one reason to buy -- they expect to make money. So let's look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
At Primo Brands, a filing with the SEC revealed that on Monday, CEO Eric J. Foss purchased 84,000 shares of PRMB, at a cost of $23.80 each, for a total investment of $2M. Foss was up about 4.8% on the buy at the high point of today's trading session, with PRMB trading as high as $24.95 in trading on Thursday. Primo Brands is trading up about 3.2% on the day Thursday. Before this latest buy, Foss made one other purchase in the past twelve months, buying $1.99M shares at a cost of $15.55 a piece.
And on Tuesday, Jack W. Schuler bought $665,940 worth of Biodesix, buying 27,600 shares at a cost of $24.13 a piece. Before this latest buy, Schuler bought BDSX on 5 other occasions during the past year, for a total investment of $4.7M at an average of $1.23 per share. Biodesix is trading up about 1.4% on the day Thursday. So far Schuler is in the green, up about 4.1% on their buy based on today's trading high of $25.11.
