Who Is Warren Buffett? Friday, June 14, 2:26 PM ET
Born in 1930, Warren Buffett is the CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, and is currently one of the richest people in the world. Known as the "Oracle of Omaha", Buffett's focus has been on value investing and has become a recognized philanthropist, working with Bill and Melinda Gates through the Gates Foundation.
Buffett attended Columbia School of Business where he received an MS in economics. Benjamin Graham was teaching at Columbia at the time. Several years later, Buffett accepted a job working for Graham.
After Graham retired, Buffett started his own partnerships, which he later merged into a single partnership. In 1962, Buffett began his investment in Berkshire Hathaway.
