The SPDR— S&P— Transportation ETF is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Thursday, with over 152,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 59,000. Shares of XTN were down about 0.4% on the day.

Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Thursday were American Airlines Group, trading off about 1.7% with over 29.6 million shares changing hands so far this session, and United Airlines Holdings, off about 1.7% on volume of over 12.4 million shares. Hub Group is the component faring the best Thursday, higher by about 2.3% on the day, while Alaska Air Group is lagging other components of the SPDR— S&P— Transportation ETF, trading lower by about 3.6%.
