Notable Monday Option Activity: CHS, EBIX, WKHS

Among the underlying components of the Russell 3000 index, we saw noteworthy options trading volume today in Chico's FAS Inc (NYSE:CHS), where a total of 13,845 contracts have traded so far, representing approximately 1.4 million underlying shares. That amounts to about 66.6% of CHS's average daily trading volume over the past month of 2.1 million shares. Particularly high volume was seen for the $5 strike call option expiring May 21, 2021, with 3,383 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 338,300 underlying shares of CHS. Ebix Inc (EBIX) saw options trading volume of 1,548 contracts, representing approximately 154,800 underlying shares or approximately 66.4% of EBIX's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 233,230 shares.
Especially high volume was seen for the $60 strike call option expiring February 19, 2021, with 658 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 65,800 underlying shares of EBIX. And Workhorse Group Inc (NASDAQ:WKHS) options are showing a volume of 81,771 contracts thus far today. That number of contracts represents approximately 8.2 million underlying shares, working out to a sizeable 66% of WKHS's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 12.4 million shares.
Particularly high volume was seen for the $25 strike call option expiring January 29, 2021, with 6,115 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 611,500 underlying shares of WKHS.
