Among the underlying components of the Russell 3000 index, we saw noteworthy options trading volume today in Costco Wholesale Corp (NASDAQ:COST), where a total of 30,620 contracts have traded so far, representing approximately 3.1 million underlying shares. That amounts to about 135.8% of COST's average daily trading volume over the past month of 2.3 million shares. Especially high volume was seen for the $350 strike call option expiring February 26, 2021, with 1,949 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 194,900 underlying shares of COST. Sonos Inc (NASDAQ:SONO) saw options trading volume of 37,178 contracts, representing approximately 3.7 million underlying shares or approximately 120.3% of SONO's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 3.1 million shares.
Especially high volume was seen for the $45 strike call option expiring June 18, 2021, with 18,773 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 1.9 million underlying shares of SONO.
