Looking at options trading activity among components of the Russell 3000 index, there is noteworthy activity today in Vapotherm Inc (NYSE:VAPO), where a total volume of 2,800 contracts has been traded thus far today, a contract volume which is representative of approximately 280,000 underlying shares (given that every 1 contract represents 100 underlying shares). That number works out to 64.3% of VAPO's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 435,520 shares. Especially high volume was seen for the $25 strike put option expiring July 16, 2021, with 1,146 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 114,600 underlying shares of VAPO. Uber Technologies Inc (NYSE:UBER) saw options trading volume of 148,751 contracts, representing approximately 14.9 million underlying shares or approximately 64.2% of UBER's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 23.2 million shares.
Especially high volume was seen for the $60 strike call option expiring March 19, 2021, with 18,029 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 1.8 million underlying shares of UBER. Particularly high volume was seen for the $10 strike call option expiring September 17, 2021, with 3,841 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 384,100 underlying shares of ORBC.
