Notable Monday Option Activity: CCXI, KRON, CPLG

Among the underlying components of the Russell 3000 index, we saw noteworthy options trading volume today in ChemoCentryx, Inc. (CCXI), where a total of 6,182 contracts have traded so far, representing approximately 618,200 underlying shares. That amounts to about 132.7% of CCXI's average daily trading volume over the past month of 465,740 shares. Particularly high volume was seen for the $25 strike put option expiring May 21, 2021, with 3,009 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 300,900 underlying shares of CCXI. Kronos Bio Inc (NASDAQ:KRON) saw options trading volume of 3,955 contracts, representing approximately 395,500 underlying shares or approximately 129.1% of KRON's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 306,340 shares.
Particularly high volume was seen for the $20 strike put option expiring April 16, 2021, with 3,954 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 395,400 underlying shares of KRON. Particularly high volume was seen for the $10 strike call option expiring July 16, 2021, with 1,015 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 101,500 underlying shares of CPLG.
