That number of contracts represents approximately 144.9 million underlying shares, working out to a sizeable 47.6% of AMC's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 304.5 million shares.
Especially high volume was seen for the $40 strike put option expiring June 11, 2021, with 68,295 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 6.8 million underlying shares of AMC.
