Among the underlying components of the Russell 3000 index, we saw noteworthy options trading volume today in Vista Outdoor Inc (NYSE:VSTO), where a total of 5,498 contracts have traded so far, representing approximately 549,800 underlying shares. That amounts to about 66.1% of VSTO's average daily trading volume over the past month of 831,745 shares. Especially high volume was seen for the $40 strike call option expiring August 20, 2021, with 2,093 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 209,300 underlying shares of VSTO. Willis Towers Watson Public Ltd Co (WLTW) saw options trading volume of 7,294 contracts, representing approximately 729,400 underlying shares or approximately 65.3% of WLTW's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 1.1 million shares.
Particularly high volume was seen for the $220 strike put option expiring July 16, 2021, with 1,253 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 125,300 underlying shares of WLTW.
