Among the underlying components of the Russell 3000 index, we saw noteworthy options trading volume today in Bed, Bath & Beyond, Inc. (BBBY), where a total of 50,048 contracts have traded so far, representing approximately 5.0 million underlying shares. That amounts to about 72% of BBBY's average daily trading volume over the past month of 7.0 million shares. Especially high volume was seen for the $30 strike call option expiring July 23, 2021, with 11,083 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 1.1 million underlying shares of BBBY. EPR Properties (NYSE:EPR) saw options trading volume of 4,792 contracts, representing approximately 479,200 underlying shares or approximately 70.4% of EPR's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 680,500 shares.
Particularly high volume was seen for the $60 strike call option expiring January 21, 2022, with 1,536 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 153,600 underlying shares of EPR.
