Among the underlying components of the Russell 3000 index, we saw noteworthy options trading volume today in Veeva Systems Inc (NYSE:VEEV), where a total of 7,331 contracts have traded so far, representing approximately 733,100 underlying shares. That amounts to about 126.5% of VEEV's average daily trading volume over the past month of 579,415 shares. Especially high volume was seen for the $340 strike call option expiring September 17, 2021, with 2,960 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 296,000 underlying shares of VEEV. Las Vegas Sands Corp (NYSE:LVS) saw options trading volume of 82,954 contracts, representing approximately 8.3 million underlying shares or approximately 125.3% of LVS's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 6.6 million shares.
