Among the underlying components of the Russell 3000 index, we saw noteworthy options trading volume today in iRobot Corp (NASDAQ:IRBT), where a total of 6,779 contracts have traded so far, representing approximately 677,900 underlying shares. That amounts to about 171.6% of IRBT's average daily trading volume over the past month of 395,120 shares. Especially high volume was seen for the $75 strike put option expiring July 30, 2021, with 1,127 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 112,700 underlying shares of IRBT. Williams Sonoma Inc (NYSE:WSM) options are showing a volume of 12,192 contracts thus far today. That number of contracts represents approximately 1.2 million underlying shares, working out to a sizeable 167.1% of WSM's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 729,520 shares.
Particularly high volume was seen for the $170 strike call option expiring November 19, 2021, with 5,501 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 550,100 underlying shares of WSM. And Mastercard Inc (NYSE:MA) options are showing a volume of 48,407 contracts thus far today. That number of contracts represents approximately 4.8 million underlying shares, working out to a sizeable 143.5% of MA's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 3.4 million shares.
Especially high volume was seen for the $400 strike call option expiring July 30, 2021, with 2,665 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 266,500 underlying shares of MA.
