Among the underlying components of the Russell 3000 index, we saw noteworthy options trading volume today in Landstar System, Inc. (NASDAQ:LSTR), where a total of 1,561 contracts have traded so far, representing approximately 156,100 underlying shares. That amounts to about 64.2% of LSTR's average daily trading volume over the past month of 243,270 shares. Especially high volume was seen for the $170 strike call option expiring September 17, 2021, with 1,543 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 154,300 underlying shares of LSTR.
