Among the underlying components of the S&P 500 index, we saw noteworthy options trading volume today in Wynn Resorts Ltd (NASDAQ:WYNN), where a total of 17,335 contracts have traded so far, representing approximately 1.7 million underlying shares. That amounts to about 47.1% of WYNN's average daily trading volume over the past month of 3.7 million shares. Especially high volume was seen for the $105 strike call option expiring December 17, 2021, with 1,303 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 130,300 underlying shares of WYNN. Electronic Arts, Inc. (NASDAQ:EA) options are showing a volume of 10,034 contracts thus far today. That number of contracts represents approximately 1.0 million underlying shares, working out to a sizeable 45.4% of EA's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 2.2 million shares.
Particularly high volume was seen for the $157.50 strike put option expiring September 17, 2021, with 1,130 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 113,000 underlying shares of EA.
