Looking at options trading activity among components of the Russell 3000 index, there is noteworthy activity today in Zillow Group Inc (NASDAQ:Z), where a total volume of 21,865 contracts has been traded thus far today, a contract volume which is representative of approximately 2.2 million underlying shares (given that every 1 contract represents 100 underlying shares). That number works out to 58.2% of Z's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 3.8 million shares. Especially high volume was seen for the $100 strike put option expiring January 20, 2023, with 5,310 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 531,000 underlying shares of Z. iCAD inc (NASDAQ:ICAD) options are showing a volume of 1,649 contracts thus far today. That number of contracts represents approximately 164,900 underlying shares, working out to a sizeable 57.4% of ICAD's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 287,450 shares.
Especially high volume was seen for the $17.50 strike put option expiring September 17, 2021, with 600 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 60,000 underlying shares of ICAD.
