Among the underlying components of the Russell 3000 index, we saw noteworthy options trading volume today in Uber Technologies Inc (NYSE:UBER), where a total of 194,577 contracts have traded so far, representing approximately 19.5 million underlying shares. That amounts to about 92.9% of UBER's average daily trading volume over the past month of 20.9 million shares. Particularly high volume was seen for the $39 strike put option expiring September 17, 2021, with 24,859 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 2.5 million underlying shares of UBER. Steven Madden Ltd. (NASDAQ:SHOO) saw options trading volume of 6,196 contracts, representing approximately 619,600 underlying shares or approximately 80.8% of SHOO's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 766,730 shares.
Particularly high volume was seen for the $40 strike call option expiring September 17, 2021, with 2,263 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 226,300 underlying shares of SHOO.
