Notable Monday Option Activity: CLF, ORMP, NKE

Looking at options trading activity among components of the Russell 3000 index, there is noteworthy activity today in Cleveland-Cliffs Inc (NYSE:CLF), where a total volume of 127,214 contracts has been traded thus far today, a contract volume which is representative of approximately 12.7 million underlying shares (given that every 1 contract represents 100 underlying shares). That number works out to 53.2% of CLF's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 23.9 million shares. Particularly high volume was seen for the $22 strike call option expiring October 15, 2021, with 12,980 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 1.3 million underlying shares of CLF. Oramed Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ:ORMP) saw options trading volume of 4,034 contracts, representing approximately 403,400 underlying shares or approximately 52.7% of ORMP's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 765,590 shares.
Particularly high volume was seen for the $30 strike call option expiring October 15, 2021, with 2,063 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 206,300 underlying shares of ORMP.
