Among the underlying components of the Russell 3000 index, we saw noteworthy options trading volume today in Ormat Technologies Inc (NYSE:ORA), where a total of 1,466 contracts have traded so far, representing approximately 146,600 underlying shares. That amounts to about 48.4% of ORA's average daily trading volume over the past month of 302,795 shares. Especially high volume was seen for the $60 strike put option expiring December 17, 2021, with 500 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 50,000 underlying shares of ORA. Biogen Inc (NASDAQ:BIIB) saw options trading volume of 5,133 contracts, representing approximately 513,300 underlying shares or approximately 47.3% of BIIB's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 1.1 million shares.
Particularly high volume was seen for the $690 strike call option expiring January 20, 2023, with 531 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 53,100 underlying shares of BIIB.
