Among the underlying components of the S&P 500 index, we saw noteworthy options trading volume today in Align Technology Inc (NASDAQ:ALGN), where a total of 11,452 contracts have traded so far, representing approximately 1.1 million underlying shares. That amounts to about 230.1% of ALGN's average daily trading volume over the past month of 497,675 shares. Particularly high volume was seen for the $600 strike call option expiring October 29, 2021, with 1,623 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 162,300 underlying shares of ALGN.
