Notable Friday Option Activity: RAD, TITN, LAMR

Looking at options trading activity among components of the Russell 3000 index, there is noteworthy activity today in Rite Aid Corp (RAD), where a total volume of 8,970 contracts has been traded thus far today, a contract volume which is representative of approximately 897,000 underlying shares (given that every 1 contract represents 100 underlying shares). That number works out to 51.3% of RAD's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 1.7 million shares. Particularly high volume was seen for the $15 strike call option expiring January 21, 2022, with 2,786 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 278,600 underlying shares of RAD. Titan Machinery, Inc. (NASDAQ:TITN) options are showing a volume of 1,261 contracts thus far today. That number of contracts represents approximately 126,100 underlying shares, working out to a sizeable 50% of TITN's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 252,180 shares.
Especially high volume was seen for the $30 strike call option expiring June 17, 2022, with 811 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 81,100 underlying shares of TITN. And Lamar Advertising Co (NASDAQ:LAMR) options are showing a volume of 1,686 contracts thus far today. That number of contracts represents approximately 168,600 underlying shares, working out to a sizeable 49.7% of LAMR's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 339,115 shares.
Particularly high volume was seen for the $54.50 strike put option expiring January 21, 2022, with 298 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 29,800 underlying shares of LAMR.
