Notable Friday Option Activity: VIAC, DDOG, FROG

Among the underlying components of the Russell 3000 index, we saw noteworthy options trading volume today in ViacomCBS Inc (VIAC), where a total of 79,298 contracts have traded so far, representing approximately 7.9 million underlying shares. That amounts to about 52.3% of VIAC's average daily trading volume over the past month of 15.2 million shares. Particularly high volume was seen for the $40 strike call option expiring January 21, 2022, with 6,791 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 679,100 underlying shares of VIAC. Datadog Inc (NASDAQ:DDOG) saw options trading volume of 21,091 contracts, representing approximately 2.1 million underlying shares or approximately 51.3% of DDOG's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 4.1 million shares.
Particularly high volume was seen for the $135 strike put option expiring January 14, 2022, with 4,359 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 435,900 underlying shares of DDOG. And JFrog Ltd (NASDAQ:FROG) options are showing a volume of 4,272 contracts thus far today. That number of contracts represents approximately 427,200 underlying shares, working out to a sizeable 51.1% of FROG's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 835,905 shares.
Particularly high volume was seen for the $25 strike put option expiring January 20, 2023, with 3,752 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 375,200 underlying shares of FROG.
