Looking at options trading activity among components of the Russell 3000 index, there is noteworthy activity today in Engagesmart Inc (NASDAQ:ESMT), where a total volume of 3,565 contracts has been traded thus far today, a contract volume which is representative of approximately 356,500 underlying shares (given that every 1 contract represents 100 underlying shares). That number works out to 56.7% of ESMT's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 628,620 shares. Especially high volume was seen for the $25 strike call option expiring March 18, 2022, with 3,504 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 350,400 underlying shares of ESMT. Especially high volume was seen for the $60 strike call option expiring January 21, 2022, with 2,301 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 230,100 underlying shares of AA.
