Among the underlying components of the Russell 3000 index, we saw noteworthy options trading volume today in Tupperware Brands Corp (NYSE:TUP), where a total of 8,306 contracts have traded so far, representing approximately 830,600 underlying shares. That amounts to about 46.1% of TUP's average daily trading volume over the past month of 1.8 million shares. Particularly high volume was seen for the $20 strike call option expiring June 17, 2022, with 3,500 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 350,000 underlying shares of TUP. Staar Surgical Co. (NASDAQ:STAA) saw options trading volume of 3,318 contracts, representing approximately 331,800 underlying shares or approximately 45.7% of STAA's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 725,315 shares.
Particularly high volume was seen for the $60 strike put option expiring May 20, 2022, with 1,609 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 160,900 underlying shares of STAA.
