Looking at options trading activity among components of the Russell 3000 index, there is noteworthy activity today in First Solar Inc (NASDAQ:FSLR), where a total volume of 26,076 contracts has been traded thus far today, a contract volume which is representative of approximately 2.6 million underlying shares (given that every 1 contract represents 100 underlying shares). That number works out to 82.3% of FSLR's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 3.2 million shares. Especially high volume was seen for the $190 strike put option expiring April 21, 2023, with 1,281 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 128,100 underlying shares of FSLR. Especially high volume was seen for the $90 strike put option expiring March 17, 2023, with 14,147 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 1.4 million underlying shares of CVS. Particularly high volume was seen for the $52 strike put option expiring March 17, 2023, with 1,490 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 149,000 underlying shares of ASO.
