Noteworthy Tuesday Option Activity: KDP, TSE, SGH

Looking at options trading activity among components of the Russell 3000 index, there is noteworthy activity today in Keurig Dr Pepper Inc (NASDAQ:KDP), where a total volume of 34,884 contracts has been traded thus far today, a contract volume which is representative of approximately 3.5 million underlying shares (given that every 1 contract represents 100 underlying shares). That number works out to 41.3% of KDP's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 8.4 million shares. Particularly high volume was seen for the $28 strike put option expiring July 21, 2023, with 21,151 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 2.1 million underlying shares of KDP. Trinseo PLC (NYSE:TSE) options are showing a volume of 2,298 contracts thus far today. That number of contracts represents approximately 229,800 underlying shares, working out to a sizeable 41.2% of TSE's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 557,220 shares.
Particularly high volume was seen for the $12.50 strike put option expiring June 16, 2023, with 1,005 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 100,500 underlying shares of TSE.
