Airplane interior producer B/E Aerospace (BEAV) posted earnings for its first quarter today that surged to $50.3 million, or $0.49 per share, from $33.8 million, or $0.34 per share, in the same quarter last year.
Revenue rose nearly 30%, to $600.2 million.
Earnings beat analyst expectations, although B/E’s full-year forecast of $2 per share is just shy of analyst estimates.
Also today, auto parts producer Johnson Controls (NYSE:JCI) said its second quarter earnings totaled $354 million, or $0.51 per share, compared to $274 million, or $0.40 per share, in the same quarter last year.
Adjusted earnings of $0.56 per share were just ahead of Wall Street estimates, while a 22% increase in revenue, to $10.1 million, exceeded analyst expectations.
Johnson Controls said it is looking for earnings of $0.51 to %0.53 per share in the third quarter, below forecasts.
