Amdocs (NASDAQ:DOX) said today it has agreed to acquire Bridgewater Systems (BWC) for $8.20 Canadian per share in cash.
The transaction is valued at $211 million Canadian, or $128 Canadian net of Bridgewater’s cash.
Amdocs said the acquisition allows it to further expand its customer experience systems portfolio with sophisticated data experience management capabilities.
Amdocs said that, as service providers, the company is faced with an evolution to personalized value-based pricing and charging. The acquisition would allow it to support a variety of such use cases, such as a family sharing a single, consolidated plan across their Apple (AAPL) iPhone, iPad, and home broadband connection, all at preferred bandwidth speeds.
Amdocs said it does not expect a material impact from the acquisition in fiscal 2011 or 2012 earnings.
