A regulatory filing late Wednesday revealed that activist investor Carl Icahn has continued to decrease his stake in Clorox (NYSE:CLX).
Icahn now owns just 5.4% of the company, compared to a 6.9% stake as of the last filing.
Icahn and his firm, Icahn Enterprises (NASDAQ:IEP), has been trimming a stake in the company since Clorox successfully fending off its takeover attempts in September.
At the same time Icahn was offering to buy the company, he was suggesting strategic buyers like Procter & Gambler (NYSE:PG) or Kimberly-Clark (NYSE:KMB) consider an acquisition.
Lions Gate (LGF) also fought off Icahn's attempts at a bid over the summer.
Earlier this week, Icahn's firm made an offer to acquire Commercial Metals Company (NYSE:CMC).
