Williams Partners (NYSE:WPZ) announced its quarterly dividend of 76.25 cents per share, an increase of about 2% over its prior dividend in November of 74.8 cents. The dividend is payable on February 10, 2012, to unitholders of record at the close of business on February 3. The new per-unit amount is an 8.5-percent increase over the partnership's distribution of $0.7025 per unit that was paid in February 2011. It is also a 2-percent increase over the partnership's third-quarter 2011 distribution of $0.7475 per unit.
Shares are higher by 0.35 percent.
In other dividend news, Travelers Companies Incorporated (NYSE:TRV) maintained its quarterly dividend of 41 cents per share. Noble Energy Incorporated (NYSE:NBL) maintained its quarterly dividend of 22 cents per share. Comerica Incorporated (NYSE:CMA) maintained its quarterly dividend of 10 cents per share.
Among dividend increases, Norfolk Southern Corporation (NYSE:NSC) announced its quarterly dividend of 47 cents per share, an increase of about 9% over its prior dividend in November of 43 cents.
