Bargain hunters are wise to pay careful attention to insider buying, because although there are many various reasons for an insider to sell a stock, presumably the only reason they would use their hard-earned dollars to make a purchase, is that they expect to make money. Today we look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
On Thursday, BCB Bancorp (NASDAQ:BCBP)'s Director, Joseph J. Brogan, made a $93,380 purchase of BCBP, buying 9,200 shares at a cost of $10.15 a piece. BCB Bancorp Inc is trading up about 3% on the day Friday. Before this latest buy, Brogan purchased BCBP at 4 other times during the past year, for a total investment of $127,845 at an average of $9.35 per share.
And on Wednesday, Director Ronald N. Giddiens bought $59,752 worth of First Financial Bankshares (NASDAQ:FFIN), buying 1,218 shares at a cost of $49.06 a piece. This purchase marks the first one filed by Giddiens in the past twelve months. First Financial Bankshares is trading trading flat on the day Friday.
