The PowerShares Dynamic Building & Construction Portfolio ETF (AMEX:PKB) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Wednesday, with over 243,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 47,000. Shares of PKB were up about 0.8% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Wednesday were Lowes Companies (NYSE:LOW), trading up about 0.8% with over 2.4 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Home Depot (NYSE:HD), up about 1.3% on volume of over 2.2 million shares. The Babcock & Wilcox (BWC) is the component faring the best Wednesday, up by about 3.1% on the day, while Martin Marietta Materials (NYSE:MLM) is lagging other components of the PowerShares Dynamic Building & Construction Portfolio ETF, trading lower by about 0.9%.
