Looking at options trading activity among components of the Russell 3000 index, there is noteworthy activity today in Post Holdings Inc (NYSE:POST), where a total volume of 1,814 contracts has been traded thus far today, a contract volume which is representative of approximately 181,400 underlying shares (given that every 1 contract represents 100 underlying shares). That number works out to 41.3% of POST's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 438,710 shares. Especially high volume was seen for the $85 strike put option expiring December 20, 2024, with 1,215 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 121,500 underlying shares of POST. Particularly high volume was seen for the $43 strike call option expiring March 15, 2024, with 2,269 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 226,900 underlying shares of MGM.
