The US markets are pointed lower this Monday morning as investors await testimony from Janet Yellen on Tuesday.
Good morning this is Sayoko Murase with the Week Ahead Market Report for February 10, 2014.
In overseas trading, Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average was higher by 1.77% and the Hang Seng was lower by 0.27% overnight. In Europe on Monday, the FTSE 100 was higher by 0.18% so far and the German DAX was higher by 0.12% today.
In economic news, Wholesale Inventories data is released on Tuesday, Initial Claims and Retails Sales are released on Thursday and Industrial Production on Friday.
In earnings news this week, CVS Caremark (NYSE:CVS) releases Tuesday, B&G Foods (NYSE:BGS) and CenturyLink (CTL) on Wednesday, Agilent (NYSE:A) on Thursday and Campbell Soup (NYSE:CPB) on Friday.
