The US markets are mixed this afternoon, with the Dow down 0.02%, the S&P up 0.12% and the Nasdaq higher by 0.43%. Some of the most actively traded stocks include MannKind (NASDAQ:MNKD) up 11.2%, Apple higher by 1.8%, Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) up 0.75% and Sirius XM Holdings (NASDAQ:SIRI) up 1.3%.
Good afternoon, this is Tracey Fitzpatrick with the Week Ahead Market Report for June 30, 2014.
In overseas trading, Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average was up 0.44%, and the Hang Seng was lower by 0.13%. In Europe, the FTSE 100 was lower by 0.20% and the German DAX was up 0.18% today.
In economic news, Construction Spending, Auto Sales and Truck Sales are released tomorrow, Factory Orders on Wednesday, and Nonfarm Payrolls, Unemployment Rate and Initial Clams on Thursday.
Companies releasing earnings this week include: Acuity Brands (NYSE:AYI) on Tuesday, Constellation Brands (NYSE:STZ) on Wednesday, and International Speedway (ISCA) on Thursday.
