The S&P 500, NASDAQ Composite and Dow Jones Industrial Average are all slighly lower in early afternoon trading on Monday. Some of the most actively traded stocks include Ford (NYSE:F) trading flat, Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) down 0.8%, Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) down 0.25%, and Yahoo! (YHOO) up 2.1%.
Good afternoon, this is Tracey Fitzpatrick with the Week Ahead Market Report for October 27, 2014.
In overseas trading, Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average was higher, up 0.63%, and the Hang Seng was down 0.68%. In Europe, the FTSE 100 was lower by 0.87% and the German DAX was down 0.95% today.
In economic news, Durable Orders and Consumer Confidence are released tomorrow, Initial Claims on Thursday, and Chicago PMI on Friday.
Companies releasing earnings this week include: Aetna (AET), Ameriprise Financial (NYSE:AMP), Cabot (NYSE:CBT), CIT Group (CIT) and Kimco Realty (NYSE:KIM) on Tuesday, Allstate (NYSE:ALL), Automatic Data Processing (NASDAQ:ADP), Carlyle Group (NASDAQ:CG), Exelon Corp (NASDAQ:EXC), and Hess Corp (NYSE:HES) on Wednesday, Cigna Corp (NYSE:CIG), Groupon (NASDAQ:GRPN), Kellogg (NYSE:K), and Western Union (NYSE:WU) on Thursday, and Dominion Resources (NYSE:D), Exxon Mobil (NYSE:XOM), and Pepco Holdings (POM) on Friday.
