Bargain hunters are wise to pay careful attention to insider buying, because although there are many various reasons for an insider to sell a stock, presumably the only reason they would use their hard-earned dollars to make a purchase, is that they expect to make money. Today we look at one noteworthy recent insider buy.
At Cheniere Energy (NYSE:LNG), there was insider buying on Monday, by CEO Jack A. Fusco who bought 37,007 shares at a cost of $40.53 each, for a trade totaling $1.5M. Before this latest buy, Fusco purchased LNG on 6 other occasions during the past year, for a total investment of $7.92M at an average of $37.94 per share. Cheniere Energy is trading off about 0.6% on the day Thursday. Fusco was up about 2.7% on the buy at the high point of today's trading session, with LNG trading as high as $41.64 in trading on Thursday.
