The iShares U.S. Broker-Dealers & Securities Exchanges ETF (NYSE:IAI) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Thursday, with over 137,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 57,000. Shares of IAI were up about 2% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Thursday were Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS), trading up about 3.2% with over 5.5 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Charles Schwab (NYSE:SCHW), up about 2.2% on volume of over 4.0 million shares. Marketaxess Holdings (NASDAQ:MKTX) is the component faring the best Thursday, up by about 3.8% on the day, while Diamond Hill Investment Group (NASDAQ:DHIL) is lagging other components of the iShares U.S. Broker-Dealers & Securities Exchanges ETF, trading lower by about 0.5%.
