In early trading on Friday, shares of Align Technology (NASDAQ:ALGN) topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 7.2%. Year to date, Align Technology registers a 75.4% gain.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is Flowserve (NYSE:FLS), trading down 11.3%. Flowserve Corp is lower by about 14.4% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Goodyear Tire & Rubber (GT), trading down 9.6%, and Mohawk Industries (MHK), trading up 5.2% on the day.
