In trading on Thursday, non-precious metals & non-metallic mining shares were relative laggards, down on the day by about 2.1%. Helping drag down the group were shares of Gerdau (NYSE:GGB), down about 12.6% and shares of Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (NYSE:SID) off about 9.7% on the day.
Also lagging the market Thursday are medical instruments & supplies shares, down on the day by about 1.6% as a group, led down by Natus Medical (BABY), trading lower by about 6% and Staar Surgical (NASDAQ:STAA), trading lower by about 6%.
