Bargain hunters are wise to pay careful attention to insider buying, because although there are many various reasons for an insider to sell a stock, presumably the only reason they would use their hard-earned cash to make a purchase, is that they expect to make money. Today we look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
On Tuesday, Thor Industries (NYSE:THO)'s Director, James L. Ziemer, made a $408,700 purchase of THO, buying 5,000 shares at a cost of $81.74 each. Bargain hunters are able to snag THO even cheaper than Ziemer did, with shares changing hands as low as $79.79 at last check today which is 2.4% below Ziemer's purchase price. Thor Industries is trading up about 2.2% on the day Friday.
And at DSP Group (DSPG), there was insider buying on Wednesday, by Director Cynthia Paul who purchased 9,795 shares for a cost of $11.45 each, for a total investment of $112,153. Before this latest buy, Paul bought DSPG on 5 other occasions during the past year, for a total investment of $1.98M at an average of $11.79 per share. DSP Group is trading up about 0.9% on the day Friday.
