In early trading on Thursday, shares of Amgen topped the list of the day's best performing Dow Jones Industrial Average components, trading up 0.8%. Year to date, Amgen registers a 10.0% gain.
And the worst performing Dow component thus far on the day is Intel, trading down 0.8%. Intel is showing a gain of 90.4% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Home Depot, trading down 0.5%, and Verizon Communications, trading up 0.6% on the day.
