In early trading on Tuesday, shares of ResMed (NYSE:RMD) topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 13.9%. Year to date, ResMed registers a 17.7% gain.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is Freeport-McMoran Copper & Gold (NYSE:FCX), trading down 4.2%. Freeport-McMoran Copper & Gold is showing a gain of 1.0% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Waters Corp. (WAT), trading down 3.4%, and Netflix (NFLX), trading up 9.8% on the day.
