In early trading on Thursday, shares of United Technologies (UTX) topped the list of the day's best performing Dow Jones Industrial Average components, trading up 2.6%. Year to date, United Technologies registers a 4.0% gain.
And the worst performing Dow component thus far on the day is Visa (NYSE:V), trading down 0.2%. Visa is showing a gain of 5.4% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are American Express (AXP), trading down 0.1%, and Caterpillar (CAT), trading up 1.6% on the day.
